Bio

David Karns is a Nashville-based touring bassist and vocalist known for musical precision, stylistic range, and consistent professionalism on stage and in the studio.

Over the course of his career, David has performed nationally and internationally with artists including Craig Campbell, Danielle Bradbery, Hannah Ellis, Brandon Lay (UMG), Anthony Smith, Javier Mendoza, Michael Sweet, and legendary country artist Pam Tillis. His touring foundation was shaped early under the mentorship of renowned bassist Dave LaRue, an influence that helped establish his disciplined, musical-first approach.

Equally comfortable delivering deep pocket in modern country, supporting classic country traditions, navigating pop and rock productions, or drawing from gospel and soul influences, David brings both electric bass and lead/background vocal support to every stage. His playing is defined by clarity, authority, and adaptability — always serving the artist and the song first.

In addition to touring, David is an experienced session bassist based in Nashville, equipped for both live and studio environments. He maintains professional partnerships with Phil Jones Amplification, Warrior Hand Made Instruments, Curt Mangan Strings, and Jeri Designs custom guitar straps.

David continues to focus on high-level touring opportunities while expanding his presence within the Nashville recording community.
